From Animal Control: Owner was reported by neighbor to have two dogs limping without medical care. Owner recently took dogs to vet but refused xrays due to lack of funds. Owner ordered to take dogs to vet by Oct. 17th. Owner must prove that condition was pre-existing.

Chocolata

Why she needs to be rehomed:
From her owners: A neighbor saw her and thought her legs were broken because she walks on three legs. So Animal Control came and told us we either needed to provide medical treatment or put her to sleep. My family doesn't have the money to provide medical treatment. Thus, we are looking for someone to take her in.
Animal Control will be coming back Oct. 17

Chocolata was born October of 2008. She is the only survivor of her litter. She was a healthy puppy, but then when her hind muscles and tendons started getting stiff she couldn’t move around as much. Even though she is sitting down most of the time, when she gets really excited and happy she shakes her hips back and forth, it’s adorable. She is a very cut dog. She likes to lay in between your feet and the couch, I guess she likes tight spaces. She loves being held and she just needs people that will love her. She is loving, adorable, funny, good with other dogs and kids after she gets to know them.

Please contact aaloc@aaloc.org to adopt or rescue Chocolata.
She is not with Animal Assistance League of OC because we are full.

Suncho Jr. was born April 2008. He is a very playful dog. When he was a puppy he used to love to play fetch, but the muscle stiffness reached both of his hind legs and thus he can’t run anymore. He is very strong though; he gets around with his two front legs and even tries to play fetch when he is excited. He is very protective and the peace maker of his family. When he sees his brothers aggressively playing he barks at them trying to get them to stop. He is very smart and figures out how to do things, like go down steps, with two legs. He really loves his owners and really is a good dog. He is good with other dogs and kids when he gets to know them.
