Sam is a 6 year old German Shepherd mix, about 90 lbs of love and play. He has a great temperament, and wins over everyone who meets him. Sadly, he was rescued after being tied to a tree and abandoned by his owner. He is a great dog who deserves much better.
Update: On October 13, 2009, Sam had to have emergency back surgery after his back end showed instability and an MRI discovered a severely compressed disc. Without surgery, Sam would soon be paralyzed. He is currently hospitalized after neurosurgery, and we are hoping for a good recovery. If you would like to foster Sam when he is ready to leave the hospital, he will need about 2-3 months of rehabilitation and rest before he can return to the AALOC kennel.
